A RAG-powered HR agent built into Slack

We built an HR Analyst Agent using a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture, exposed through a conversational AI interface embedded within a custom Slack App. The agent is grounded in the organisation's full corpus of HR documentation, policies, benefits guides, procedures, and handbooks, indexed and made semantically searchable through vector embeddings.

When an employee asks a question in Slack, the agent retrieves the most relevant sections from the documentation, synthesises a clear and accurate answer, and presents it in a conversational format. Questions that previously required emailing HR or hunting through multiple documents are now resolved in seconds.

Because the agent is built into Slack, adoption requires zero behaviour change, employees simply ask their questions where they already work.
