Critical KPIs and operational information were distributed across multiple systems, CRM in Salesforce, financial data in Xero, and historical analytics in a data warehouse. Each system required separate login, navigation, and report generation.
This fragmentation had a direct operational cost. Leaders couldn't quickly answer the questions they needed to during meetings or when away from their desks. Running reports meant returning to the office or scheduling time with a data analyst. The business was data-rich in theory, but information-poor in practice.

The Solution
A custom MCP Server, one interface to rule them all
We implemented a secure custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server hosted on Google Cloud, creating a unified conversational AI interface across the organisation's data ecosystem. The server provides authenticated, access-controlled connectivity to Salesforce, Xero, and the organisation's data warehouse, with natural language as the only interface required.
Users can ask questions in plain English and receive instant, accurate answers drawn from live system data: "Which invoices are outstanding for more than 90 days?", "What's our pipeline value by region?", "Show me this month's revenue against forecast." The MCP Server handles the query routing, data retrieval, and response synthesis automatically.
Critically, the platform is not read-only. Users can also initiate operational actions through the same conversational interface, updating records, flagging items, or triggering workflows, from wherever they are, on any device.
